If your child is heading from Year 6 into Year 7, this course will prepare them with the big changes that are to come. It will look at areas such as organisation, academic skills, time management, and coping with stress, This course has been developed through consultation with many teachers of Year 7 (across different education settings) to determine the challenges and needs of Year 7 students heading into high school.
There is a big jump from Year 10 to Year 11 - in terms of expectations, workload, academic skills. These changes can create stress and anxiety for students. This course shares tips and techniques to help alleviate the stress and provide them with the necessary skills to survive and thrive during their HSC years.
Funnily enough, everyone encourages students to study, but they don’t teach them the most effective ways of how to study. This workshop breaks down the most effective ways to study to help students succeed, while also focusing on a students wellbeing.
One of the biggest struggles that students have in High School is knowing how to manage their time productively. We teach students how to incorporate their sport, part time jobs, and social life into a weekly schedule that breaks down time for homework, assessment tasks and study. This course also teaches effective ways to maximise their time when completing assessments and study.
Exam preparation, how to make summary notes, time management, and techniques on the best methods to complete examinations are all part of this course. Perfect to take at the beginning of Year 11, but also a great reminder for Year 12 students about to sit their Half-Yearly or Trial HSC Examinations.
